Birthday parties are 90 minutes long and held on Saturdays and Sundays.  They include 20 custom invitations, green cups, plates, napkins, forks, 6 star-shaped mylar balloons (in green, purple, and silver), green or purple goodie bags and stuff they get to choose to fill their bags with, and custom soda concoctions.  You'll also have use of our giant cake knife, cake server, and 3 sets of purple serving platters, chip bowls, and dip bowls.  We go with purple, silver, and green every chance we get! Yesterday, I did 3 live broadcasts with Tania Ortega from FoxNews7 from my store today and...wow, what a crazy job reporters have.  Life unscripted is pretty wild.  I spent the whole day yesterday prepping the place, my experiments, what I'll say, and I'm so glad I did.  Now, I did not get to say what I prepped myself to say, but having prepped got me in a mindset that I was okay with answering any questions.   Multiple people emailed me mid-broadcast, showing interest in my place.  That ROCKS!  I can't wait for them to see how much fun it is...

We are now offering a "skincare product lab" on the 2nd Saturday of every month!  Skincare product making is part science, part creativity!  During our 90 minute lab session, you'll get to make your own custom lip balm, body soap, and bath bomb. We had a great Grand Opening weekend, lots of friendly faces came by to check the place out and lots of new faces too.  We are getting enough attention that we got an offer from Accenture to throw an Hour of Code event in our store (for free) and...drumroll please...we booked a birthday party! It's starting to feel like a real business.  

It took a lot longer than expected and there were some unusual and unexpected hurdles thrown at me along the way, but I did expect the unexpected to happen.  It is all soooo scary and exciting at the same time!   Thank you so much for your patience and kind words of support as I got the store together.  Your faith in me and my abilities was really inspiring.  I hope you think it was worth the wait when you walk in the door.  :-)  I look forward to making this business a place of pure joy and inspiration for kids...
